jaunting posess a very important thingf to all sorts of criminals. ABSOLUTLY no boundaries, they can get anytihng they want, anywhere they want, no matter what. period. once it becomes knowlegeable to the hole public, the deadly temptation of the pure POWER will tempt many, and cause the end of so many important trust issues, among other problems (a s stated in TSMD) . SO, in order to avoid this from happening, jaunitntg should ave been kept secret, only known to those trusted with its science would deven know about it. it should be a better secret then area 51, or thewatergate films. Police, for example, would have full use of this. law officlas, the president, other people of importance, not the people chillin in the slums who just want to get revenge on the system, because that, ladies and gentlemen, would be what we call, bad.-Alex Campbell

Anything like jaunting could possibly trigger what happened to Jaunte in the novel. It could lead to brutal experimentation by scientists for the sake of progress and knowledge. That kind of brutality in civilized culture is something that should never be brought forth. -
